Select Soccer requires a bigger commitment from the player and family, than Recreational Soccer. There is more practice,
more games, obviously travel, and a chance to work with a more experienced coach and trainer.
- Once a player commits to a team, he/ she is bound to that team for 1 year which under MSC and MSYSA includes
both Fall & Spring seasons. For those in High Shool they participate for only half the year.
- Players must attend practices and games to improve their game. Players that participate in school sports are
still eligible for select soccer but must inform the coach of any potential conflicts.
- Playing Select means 2x higher playing fees then Recreational and equipment cost.Scholarships are available upon request.
- All players are guarenteed an average of 50% playing time for each season, including tournaments. For example though, due to missed practices
or disciplinary reasons, playing time may be reduce.
All these commitments are aligned with the mission statements of MSC to provide a level of competition
appropriate with each participants ability, intrest, and ability to foster an environment of integrity, responsibility,
sportsmanship, leadership, and team effort through the sport of soccer.
