- The MSC had humble beginning in 1977 but more than 5,000 Midland families have been involved over the years.
- The first Mother’s Day Tournament was in 1982. Over 2,200 kids participated in the 2002 tournament.
- A lead gift by Gerstacker Foundation in 1988 was the beginning of the initial soccer complex of 37 acres and 16 fields.
- A field expansion in 1991 accommodated the increasing demand and achieved the current 21 fields.

- City water was installed in 2001 to improve field irrigation.
- Two fields were lighted in 2002 to allow extended hours of play to meet demand.
- MSC has teams for ages 5 through 19. The complex is used by the adult league as well as Special Olympics, Delta College and Midland Public Schools.
- The club employs a full-time trainer and hires seasonal part-time trainers. The trainer works through local schools and coaching clinics to improve soccer in Midland.
- The Midland Soccer Club generates an excess of $1,000,000 in tourist revenue for Midland area businesses

- Our constituents and Board of Directors have identified some critical needs for our club.
These are:
- Parking
- Indoor restroom facilities
- Increase in field space
- Increase in shelter
- Increase in office space
- The Dow Chemical Company has graciously agreed to donate approximately 43 acres of prime property to make this expansion possible.
- The soccer club will receive 38.5 acres
- 4.4 acres will be used to construct roads to improve traffic flow.
- The soccer club will raise $700,000 for the project and 1.6 million is being requested from Midland Area Foundations.
- The current project is expected to begin in spring of 2004 and be completed in 2005. Come watch us grow.
